There are quite a few photos on this page, and I
specifically did not scale them down too small. Some may be wider than
your screen. Please be patient as the images arrive.
In adversity, we respond by establishing mechanisms that achieve our needs.
The broadcast media, in the foreground, is stationed to
report and inform our nation.
The red, white, and blue balloons latched to the metal
Arlington National Cemetery fence provide a contrast to the devastating
damage to the Pentagon.
Dedicated people are engaged around the clock in rescue, recovery, and response.
Americans gather to understand what has taken place... recognize those who have
been lost, those who are engaged in rescue, and those who stand guard... and
look ahead to reinforce and reaffirm our national and personal interests.
We appreciate and give tribute to those who have supported us in our national
needs.
We must resolve and address these incomprehensible
acts. There are many we rely upon to protect us and our nation.
Each of us will reflect individually upon these tragic
acts. However, we as a nation will act collectively to respond and
resolve.
Though we have sustained damages, we will rebuild and recover and regain and
move beyond.
We will not forget. We will look ahead. Always.
